Interface Analyst

 

HealthBridge (www.healthbridge.org) is one of the nation's largest and
most successful community health information exchange organizations. A
not-for-profit corporation founded in 1997, HealthBridge is a community
effort to develop a common technology infrastructure for sharing health
information electronically in the Greater Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky
tri-state area. As a result of HealthBridge and its community partners'
efforts, the Greater Cincinnati region is the most advanced in the
country for using electronic health information and connectivity to
improve the quality and efficiency of health care. In 2008, more than 26
million clinical tests, images and other results were transmitted to
authorized physicians through Healthbridge's secure electronic network,
more than any other community exchange organization in the country. 

As a result of our success, we are growing and are adding an Interface
Analyst to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and maintaining system interfaces based on real
time HL7 transactions within a healthcare setting, the interface analyst
will join a team responsible for developing new interfaces and providing
24/7 support to existing interfaces across the systems within the
HealthBridge community. Other responsibilities include:

*         Developing specifications to document field mapping from
source to target system

*         Maintaining accurate, complete integration documentation for
data flows, connectivity specifications, routing, filtering, data
manipulation, root cause analysis and problem resolution

*         Demonstrated project management skills 

*         Administration of the interface engine 

*         Able to obtain a general understanding of the application with
which the interface is interacting

Excellent communication and customer services skill, including ability
to actively participate in and possibly lead customer implementation
teams as necessary

*         Candidate must be willing to work on-site

Qualifications

*         Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and pertinent
experience. Requires 2-3 years experience in healthcare IT, interface,
or similar environment

*         Experience with Mirth, NeoTool, Cloverleaf, or other interface
engines required

*         Crystal Reports and Lotus Notes/Domino experience desired
