[jsfg_cinti] Re: Information on Contracting Firms

Hi John,

My experience with contract/consulting firms is that after you first =
talk
with them, you probably will not hear back until they get a position =
that
fits your background and salary requirements. I interviewed TEKsystems,
Sheela Systems, and PDR. All of the people I came into contact with =
seemed
nice, open & honest. PDR contacted me twice for positions that looked =
like
a good fit, and last week I started a contract through them. I know 2
people who've worked through PDR & both felt they were treated very =
well. My
experience with PDR has been positive too. Another former JSFGer is
currently contracting with Sheela Systems and I think he is happy with =
the
firm.

I know 2 people who've worked at Cardinal - one has been there about 5 =
years
and has been happy with the company, the other person felt there was =
some
negative racist/ethnicist attitudes & left the company. I've worked with =
the
second person, and he does not have a "chip on his shoulder" - in fact =
he's
one of the best people I've worked with during my career. However, I
realize that one person's experience may not represent the overall =
corporate
culture.
