MAJOR DUTIES:



Top 

Serves as Lakes and Rivers Division (LRD) Water Control Data 
System (WCDS) and Corps Water Management System (CWMS) technical expert 
providing expertise and guidance on these systems. Develops and maintains the 
Regional WCDS for data collection, modeling, and forecasting to meet 
Division-wide water control/quality management requirements. Utilizes 
UNIX-Linux 
and Windows based computer systems and the Internet to conceive and develop 
enhancements to both systems. Develops new software applications and identifies 
new off-the-shelf packages that can be incorporated into the WCDS and CWMS 
systems. Conducts analysis and provides resolution to information management 
problems associated with the efficient regulation of reservoir projects for 
maximum benefit for flood control, hydroelectric power production, navigation, 
recreation, water quality control, water supply and fish and wildlife programs.
