Title: IT Specialist

Reports to: Manager of Operations

Employment Status:  Full Time Salaried Position



Qualifications:

1.   Minimum - Associates Degree

2.      Minimum two (2) years experience in the following:

·        PC hardware/software support

·        Help Desk Support

·        Network and Systems Administration (Windows 2000/2003, Active
Directory, Exchange, MS IIS)

·        LAN/WAN technology

·        Wireless technology

3.      Excellent Communication skills

4.      Willingness/ability to work as a team member

5.      Valid driver's license

6.      Must pass criminal background check



Additional Preferred Skills:

1.      Knowledge of Macintosh OS

2.      Experience with Linux

3.      Experience with server backups

4.      MS/CompTIA/Cisco certifications



General Description:

The IT Specialist will be a member of a team that provides telephone and
personal assistance to the H/CCA School Technical personnel and users.  This
assistance will include but not be limited to software applications, email,
networking, network hardware, web development and IP telephony.



Essential Functions:

1.      Analyze and prioritize problems or questions presented by H/CCA
School Technical personnel/users and provide the support necessary to
correct those problems or respond to questions

2.      Provide software support internally to employees

3.      Provide assistance to Network Engineering department

4.      Work cooperatively with all levels of personnel

5.      Handle information confidentially

6.      Communicate effectively -- orally and in writing

7.      Update any necessary documentation to provide full support to the
H/CCA users

8.      Protect the security of the data maintained by the H/CCA users

9.      Required to be "on call" for occasional tasks outside of normal
working hours

10.  Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or designee



Terms of Employment:

Salary and benefits as established by the H/CCA Executive Committee and
Board of Directors.  The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or
nonprescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her
term of employment.



Evaluation:  Annually, by the Executive Director or designee.
