      Description:   
      Warehouse/distribution center that employs 400 total on a three-shift 
operation. This Human Resources Generalist is a temp position that may go 
permanent in November 2003. The Human Resources staff is on a rotating 
schedule--first shift for the first year, second shift the second year and 
third shift the third year of employment. Will be responsible for managing all 
Human Resources related matters for their assigned shifts including employee 
relations, training, safety and development. Also responsible for ensuring 
consistent policy application for their shift, facility and campus. Responsible 
for maintaining strong communication links between managers and employees and 
providing an attractive, challenging and fun environment in which to work. You 
will be actively involved in campus and company initiatives, administer the 
distribution center policies, assist with new hire orientations. Will conduct 
exit interviews and associated follow-up, administer merit-based pay hourly 
review process and provide guidance and assistance to all employees relative to 
their benefits and payroll. Will also advise on employment law, provide 
guidance and interpretation of current employment law. Facilitate training on 
sexual harassment, discrimination and diversity as well as other topics in 
partnership with divisional training department; assist in the development and 
administration of the distribution center recognition programs. Will conduct 
investigations regarding discrimination, sexual harassment and employee 
issues/concerns. Will establish communication channels by conducting monthly 
employee roundtable meetings and conduct appropriate actions from those 
meetings; take an active role in supporting the safety program and keep abreast 
of trends and changes in employment legislation. Will serve on various 
committees and project teams. Salary: $40K-$46K.  
      Requirements:   
      Must have 2+ years experience in human resources dealing in employee 
relations with blue-collar hourly employees. Degree is preferred but not
