Hello list-mates!

I'm new to the list and am looking forward to sharing with all of you
your news and views about the marketplace and our respective situations.

As for me, my field is market research/survey research, polling focus
groups and the like.  I've been in the business 10+ years and am an
experienced senior project manager.  I started out in NJ then after
graduate school moved to DC and worked in political polling for 5
years.  After that I rejoined the "real world" and have been bouncing
around from place to place since, not really finding a good fit or a
place that didn't have layoffs.

We moved here so I could take a new job and that lasted 2 years, until
last July.  I'm currently working at the IRS to pay bills (barely) and
get health care.  (Sound familiar?)  To make matters worse, my wife also
lost her job in July!  Can ya believe it?  She is still unemployed.  Her
field is direct mail marketing/fundraising on the production side.

If anybody knows of anything out there that might be helpful, I'd
appreciate a note.  Feel free to e-mail directly to me if you want that
way we don't bother the list.  I'll be glad to offer what assistance I
can to you all as well.
