Job description: Candidates will be responsible for establishing the
hardware Quality Assurance and Quality Control methods and practices for
components, printed circuit boards, sub-assemblies and systems, and performing
hands-on QA/QC of hardware products produced by SSI. Candidates will work
together with our existing configuration management and Software QA personnel
to develop and maintain overall QA/CM processes and procedures for SSI.
Candidates will work directly with engineers to support new product development
and product engineering by reviewing and approving key documents including
quality plans and design reviews. Applicant selected will be subject to a
security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to
classified information.
Requirements:
Requirements: - Associates Degree in Engineering Technology required; BS
in Engineering desired. - 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience performing
the duties associated with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of
the hardware product life cycle. - Specific experience should include a
knowledge of quality assurance/quality control standards and techniques
(Mil-Stds, ISO 9000, etc.) and their practical implementation, reliability and
maintainability design practices, design for manufacturing, experience with
component, printed circuit board (PCB), sub-assembly and assembly level
inspection, methods and practices (i.e. soldering, workmanship, etc.) and a
knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures. - Must have a working knowledge
of Configuration Management practices and procedures. Must be a U.S. Citizen
