General Business Account Manager
Job Purpose
This position reports to the Sales Manager. The General Business Account
Manager manages all aspects of the sales process to specific customers
within the assigned market segment.
Essential Functions
80%
· Focusing sales activities on a large group of smaller business or
assigned customers which are strategically important to CBT.
· Conducts account planning activities to ensure customer
product/service goals and objectives attained.
· Primary interface with business customers within assigned account
base (module) to further develop sales plans into actual closed sales.
· Developing sales (account) plans, positioning with customers,
understanding customer needs, designing solutions, presenting proposals and
closing sales.
· Following overall segment sales strategies as well as specific
account sales strategies in order to achieve all assigned sales objectives.
· Ensuring the accurate ordering and installation of services and
products for assigned customer base.
· Attaining assigned sales commitment including: protection of
revenue base, generation of new revenues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Advocating customer needs with other CBT processes in order to
develop new sales opportunities.

· Completely understand and communicate competitor's strategies,
strengths and vulnerabilities and utilize to meet sales objectives.
· Developing/maintaining general levels of product/service expertise.
· Effectively and efficiently working with sales support resources in
order to meet customer needs and requirements.
Education
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience / Background
1 to 2 years
Previous Job Experience
· Salesperson from a competitive environment desired.
· Demonstrated success in a sales environment, developing and
utilizing sales plans and strategies to economically reach sales goals.
Special Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
· Consultant- Responsible for the sales process from approach to
close and follow-up of assigned accounts.
· Planning - Planning for account penetration within assigned account
base.
· Personal Effectiveness - Participate on the team and achieve
individual objectives
· Technical - Continually growing technical capability and increasing
market and competitive intelligence.
