Internet Developer--- As an Internet developer you will be responsible for
developing consumer facing, Internet based websites and applications. Along
with fellow team members, you will develop and maintain the core consumer
websites, including e-business solutions for products offered by our company.
Working with the project lead, you will be responsible for your assignments in
terms of the design, development and deployment of Internet projects.
Responsibilities:
o Design and develop within JSP and Servlet technology frameworks, as
well as, develop Internet based applications.
o Provide low-level support to the internal support group for all
department applications.
Skill Sets:
o 3 to 5 years of website development experience.
o 3 to 5 years of Java based website development.
o Experience and proficiency with HTML, Java, JSPs/Servlets, iPlanet,
Apache, Oracle, and Solaris.
o Previously worked with the Marketing department to provide the proper
consumer experience.
Skills:
o Strong working knowledge of Internet technologies: HTML/DHTML,
JSPs/Servlets, PHP, and CSS.
o Applied knowledge of building web-based user interfaces.
o A working knowledge of communications with middle-tier systems.
o Basic experience with the entire Java 2 core framework ? J2SE.
Internet Systems Project Lead-- As a project lead, and in coordination with the
group?s manager, you will provide the leadership and experience required to
complete assigned projects. As an Internet developer you will work closely
with the Internet development team to provide technical guidance and direction
with design, development and deployment of Internet based solutions for
consumer products. You will be responsible for the development and deployment
lifecycles, as well as lead post-production application support for all
developed applications.
Responsibilities:
o Manage the day to day design and development processes for Internet
projects.
o Coordinate the technical requirements with the project manager.
o Mentor junior team members.
o Proactively monitor and analyze applications for performance and
providing the technical insight for systems improvement.
o Assigning technical requirements for team members.
o Assisting Project Manager in day to day activities.
o Manage contractors and/or vendors with large project development.
Skill Sets:
o 5+ years of project management experience
o 5+ years of Internet website and application development.
o 3+ years of managing technical project requirements.
o Extreme experience and proficiency with HTML, Java, JSPs/Servlets,
iPlanet, Apache, Oracle, and Solaris.
o 3+ years of eCommerce web sites desired.
o Advanced Java skills in relation to website development.
o JSP and Servlet experience.
o Understanding of Core J2EE concepts.
o Familiarity with SQL and Oracle.
o UML and OO documentation conventions.
o A strong understanding of Internet protocols and technology.
Internet Middleware Manager--- As a manager you will manage a team of 5
individuals and work with concurrent Middleware and Internet related projects.
You will be responsible for overall project success, from project kick-off to
completion. Working closely with the different business units, you will ensure
projects meet business and consumer needs. You will be required to develop a
detailed project schedule for each project, manage project scope, facilitate
project meetings, review project deliverables, maintain project documentation,
and identify project risks. You will also be required to create project
documents such as proposals, specifications, and test plans. As a manager of
other employees, you will also be responsible for performance reviews,
compensation reviews, budgeting, and scheduling of your team.
Responsibilities:
o Manage the day to day operations of the Middleware and Internet
Development teams.
o Manage and prioritize project requirements for Middleware and Internet
related projects.
o Prepare project plans, documentation and business cases.
o Organize planning sessions, define development cycles, and coordinate
business needs with development teams.
o Create product specification documentation for internal and external
usage.
o Manage contractors and vendors for project completion.
o Manage employee resources.
o Ensure production support of existing systems.
o Work with senior management in the design, architecture, and planning
of future systems.
Skill Sets:
o Must have 5 to 10 years of experience as a manager of an internet
and/or middleware development team.
o Must have 5 to 10 years of experience as a developer of internet and/or
middleware systems in the past 12 years.
o Professional experience within an Internet technology environment
and/or consumer software development company.
o Experience with internet sales sites is preferred.
o Project management and/or development experience with Internet and
Middleware based projects, to include Unix, Oracle, Java, XML and HTML
understanding. MQ and/or Tuxedo experience preferred
