I seek your help. ImagePoint (www.imagepoint.com) has retained my firm to
recruit the Plant Manager of their Cincinnati facility. Headquartered in
Knoxville, Tennessee, ImagePoint is the largest manufacturer of sign and
imaging products in the U.S. They are the industry leader in providing a fully
integrated solution, from design to maintenance. The company manufactures
complex, engineered interior and exterior signage for the Automotive/Petroleum,
Financial, Retail, and Food markets.

The successful candidate will be a bright, hardworking manufacturing management
professional, someone with the ability to quickly become a key member of the
executive management team. Candidate qualifications include:

* minimum of eight years of operations management experience with a majority
dedicated to either leading or being the second in command in a customized,
medium lot, quick response engineered products manufacturing operation,
utilizing progressive management philosophies and sophisticated systems and
strategies;

* developed and built manufacturing organizations, processes and procedures to
support company strategic direction. Experience in process redesign and
establishing work standards with direct responsibility for production and
inventory control in various manufacturing environments;
*
* proven track record of leading manufacturing entities to meet corporate
objectives, instilling quality improvements, reducing operating costs, and
improving efficiencies. This also includes realizing deadlines and appropriate

culture consistent with and connected to the rest of the company;

succeed - i.e., someone who can contribute immediately and is driven to make a
contribution each and every day;

* excellent organizational/administrative skills; will be a hands-on manager,
someone who is not afraid to get into the detail; still, candidates must not
allow their people to lose sight of the organization's broader challenges and
goals;

* a personal commitment to excellence; will have high standards when it comes
to quality; will promote a "do it right the first time" mentality; will have
used operating performance metrics in a short interval setting; will understand

*
* well-developed business skills with a sound appreciation for financial
matters; will understand manufacturing costs and how operations impact profit
and loss; must be PC literate with ability to present ideas in a logical
fashion, i.e., well-documented, well-researched and supported by thorough
analysis;

* a leader that subordinates clearly recognize and respect as being the person
in charge; person must be a world-class listener, team player, and patient
mentor with an uncanny ability to make people feel that they are part of the
