*Operations Manager
*Learning Through Art, Inc. is a fast paced mid-sized non-profit performing
arts education organization building community through art.  The expansion
of LTA's national award winning and twice EMMY nominated literary performing
arts program has created the need for a proactive, practical and creative
implementer with tactical and process-driven skills.

The Operations Manager (OM) has dual responsibility for understanding how to
take our products including our national award winning and twice nominated
EMMY television literary performing arts program, Books Alive! For Kids(R)
Book Boxes to market, and getting them there.  This is a very "hands-on"
role, with the OM involved in all of the day-to-day operations involved in
the assembly and distribution of our products.  Ability to work in a small,
non-profit, fast-paced entrepreneurial organization is essential.

*Primary Responsibilities*

The Operations Manager (OM) will plan, organize, and coordinate the
production, distribution and sale of all products with emphasis on literary
performing arts program.  This includes:



·        Develop and manage all details of the operational process and
workflow in a timely and accurate fashion with full accountability for
outcomes.

·        Develop and implement marketing strategies for program and product
increasing sales and program participants.



·        Develop and implement product training program for staff and
consumers.


·        Determine priorities and provide technical guidance to other team
members.


·        Prepare accurate and timely reports on the production, distribution
and sales projections of products.

·        Research information requests from the President.

*Minimum Qualifications*

·        Bachelor's degree required or equivalent training.

·        At least 5 years of experience in product distribution, sales, and
marketing fields with

             operational and organizational management experience.

·        Excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft office
applications.

·        Ability to multi-tasks and work well under pressure.

·        Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written
communication ability.

·        Proven ability to initiate responsible decisions within established
guidelines.

·        Demonstrated strong fiscal responsibility making decisions that
directly impact the operating costs and indirectly influence sales and
customer satisfaction.
