Our client, a 250-bed hospital located in a stable and scenic Southeast 
community, seeks a Director, Marketing and Public Relations.  As a key member 
of the organizations management team, the Director provides leadership and 
support for the hospitalâ??s strategic objectives to increase market share and 
achieve targeted goals through effective marketing, public relations, 
communications and strategic planning. Priorities for the selected candidate 
are:  establish credibility for the marketing and public relations functions 
with all key constituent groups inside and outside the organization; develop a 
strategic marketing plan; identify opportunities for business and program 
development; provide marketing and planning support to operational and 
service-line leaders to build market share; enhance the organization's image 
through effective image building; and create an effective branding program. 



  


Key skills of the successful candidate include multitasking, creative, 
analytical, quantitative, oral and written communications, effective 
presentation skills,  familiar with merger/organization integration, 
interpersonal relationships, communications, understanding of marketing 
research, ad
vertising, promotion, budgeting, public relations; and attributes that include 
self-starter, manages stress well, proactive, positive, team player, value 
congruent, collaborative, and professional. 


  


A bachelor degree in marketing, business, journalism or related field 
required.  Ten years progressively responsible leadership experience in 
marketing and business development in a comparable healthcare organization 
serving a similar market is expected.
