Currently, we are recruiting for a Controller for a Venture Capital =
firm. The firm needs a proactive and experienced Controller to help the =
Finance function as it supports the firm's growth. The client prefers =
someone already living in the Los Angeles area. Candidates willing to =
relocate at their own expense may be considered. Working remotely is not =

POSITION: Proactive and experienced Controller to help the Finance =

COMPENSATION: Annual base salary will be around $100k, plus full =

PERSONAL SUMMARY: This position reports to the CFO. He wants someone =
with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal =
skills, good written and oral communication skills are required. Good =
planning, organizational and time management skills are required. Must =
have someone with the ability to work under deadlines while remaining =
organized.=20


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:=20

. Must have recent and significant experience as a Controller.=20
. Prefer someone with experience as a Controller for a Venture Capital =
Fund and/or Private Equity Investment Fund.=20
. Must have someone with experience in month-end and year-end closing =
functions, and preparing periodic financial statements in accordance =
with GAAP.=20
. Must have someone with experience in Accounts Payable and Expense =
Report processing.=20
. Must be proficient in Great Plains and Microsoft Access.=20
. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA helpful.=20
. The Controller is responsible for implementing financial policies, =
accounting practices, expense controls, maintenance of fiscal records =
and the preparation of financial reports, both internal and external, =
while effectively managing deadlines. Need someone who can work with the =
CFO to formulate and implement new accounting processes and automation =
in order to increase operating efficiencies.=20
. Must have experience working with external auditors and other vendors. =

. Must have computer competency in spreadsheet applications.=20
. Must have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial =
reporting.=20
