Job Description: 
Job #044 DMTS - Site Health & Safety Officer:  DOE facility in Washington State 
has an immediate need for a Site Health & Safety Officer.  

 Must develop and implement construction project Health and Safety Program as a 
direct subcontractor report to the Project Manager (Prime).    Duties will 
include maintaining necessary safety and health supplies (consumables, 
industrial hygiene instrumentation, and performance of required training and 
orientation of project personnel (CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTOR).   Health and 
Safety Officer should be familiar with all aspects of company and project 
Respiratory Protection Requirements because the candidate will be performing 
duties as the project Respiratory Protection Program Administrator per the 
requirements of the contract and OSHA/NIOSH.  Filing and completion of employee 
and motor vehicle accident/injury reports.  Performance of safety inspections 
of electrical and mechanical equipment to be brought to the Hanford Site.

 Site Safety and Health Officer will maintain the First Aid and OSHA 300 Log 
and additionally provide input to EnergySolutions VP ISMS for the Corporate 
OSHA 300 Log on a monthly basis.   Implement all Safety and Health requirements 
in the Field Remediation Subcontract and DelHur, Inc. programs and procedures.

 Site Health and Safety Officer

*      10 years General Construction experience related to safety, health, and 
industrial hygiene, i.e., `10 years in a safety and health position

*      3 years radiological contamination control.

*      Experience must include a thorough understanding and working knowledge 
of OSHA, NFPA 1 (2003 edition), and other governing requirements associated 
with performance of the scope of work.

 Persons working within the Subcontractor's authority must meet one of the 
following criteria:

*       Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST)

*       Occupational Health and Safety technician (OHST),

*       Associated Safety Professional (ASP)

*       Actively pursuing and CIH.CSP designation.

 Minimum training and qualification requirements:

*       40-Hour HAZWOPER Training (Current)

*       8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training (Current)

*       Radiological Worker II Training (Current)

*       Medically qualified to wear a respirator by occupational medical 
physician.

*       Competent Person Excavations, per 29 CFR 1926 Subpart B.

*       First Aid/CPR Training (current)

*       Hanford General Employee Training (provided on hire)

 Addition training and qualification requirements (not mandatory)

*       Class I Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor (Current)

*       Permit Authorizing Individual (PAI) per NFPA 51B.

*       Automated External Defibrillator Training (AED) (Current)

*       Integrated Work Control Process Training (provided by client)
