GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr. Product Manager Watch SPMW is responsible for the management of =
all watch product (Lux and non-Lux) and day-to-day operations. The SPMW =
will also oversee two Assistant Buyers and a Product Coordinator who =
will all report to the Senior Director of Watch in the Product Group. =
The SPMW is responsible for the coaching and development of direct =
reports and career succession planning support.

Internal and external customers perceive the SPMW as being an expert =
regarding watch products and trends. The SPMW maximizes sales, profit, =
and return on assets by managing assortments, negotiating with vendors =
and ensuring adequate inventory levels targeted to appropriate store =
types and market areas. The SPMW partners with the Senior Director =
Watch Product Group on the styling, pricing, flow and promotional =
strategies for watches. Also, the SPMW works closely with the UK Buyer =
on development of Luxottica Private Watch Brands.

The SPMW leads and manages departmental projects/initiatives, recommends =
process and business improvements, and collaborates with watch team and =
other function areas to ensure successful execution. The SPMW will =
develop, propose, partner and manage new product test initiatives. =
He/she represents Luxottica Retail professionally in the industry. The =
SPMW will communicate professionally, effectively and regularly with =
his/her supervisor, direct reports, senior managers; as well as, other =
functional areas, factories and industry members.

He/she is a key resource for watch product information, marketing, =
merchandising and public relations with dedicated support from =
designated representatives in these departments to ensure successful =
execution. =20

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Gets Results
=B7 Manages assortments that help to achieve our sales, inventory =
and margin plans.
=B7 Maintains product flow to ensure inventories are + or -10% to =
target or forecast.
=B7 Ensures profitability by achieving IMU%, markdown budget, and =
inventory turnover. =20

2. Communication
a.. Works closely with the Planning/Merchandising/Marketing/Operations =
teams to insure that assortments and strategies meet the store's needs =
and projects/implementations are successfully executed in all areas =
(marketing, signage, inventory, levels).
=B7 Partners with planning teams to recognize and react to =
opportunities and liabilities.
=B7 Supports SGH Operations, Merchandising, E-Commerce and Public =
Relations on product introductions, monthly visual guides and =
incentives.
=B7 Works closely with supervisor, direct reports and =
cross-functional partners to execute business priorities, recognize and =
respond to opportunities/liabilities, and partner on new strategies and =
assortments.
=B7 Works consistently with factories and expeditors to insure =
successful development, packaging, shipping and flow of private branded =
products for watches.

3. Assortment Plans
=B7 Manage assortments that meet our plans and reflect industry =
trends.
=B7 Assortments must meet:
- Sales plans.
- Gross Margin plans.
- Inventory plans or forecasts while maintaining a proper =
balance of new and bestsellers.
- Timelines sets for implementation with training, marketing and PR. =

=B7 Recommends cost/retail pricing.
=B7 Consults on seasonal and annual sales and inventory =
planning.
=B7 Adjusts and revises assortments to react to =
opportunities and liabilities.

4. Brand Communication
=B7 Meets with key non-Luxottica watch brand resources and =
private brand factories to select product that meets current and =
emerging trends. Bases assortment decisions on current and new SKU =
performance.
=B7 Negotiates cost, returns, recalls, Co-Op, associate =
incentives and markdown dollars at department level.
=B7 Communicates product-related issues to vendors (e.g., quality =
improvement, product development, brand strategies, launches, test sales =
performance and projected item status changes). Communicates issues, =
opportunities and liabilities with the team and supervisor.
=B7 Participate in the evaluation of all non-Luxottica watch =
suppliers annually.
=B7 Represents Luxottica retail in a professional manner to the =
industry.
=B7 Travels to key U.S. and international markets/shows =
seasonally. Available to travel as required.

5. Internal Communications
=B7 Initiates and participates in regular product communication =
meetings with the team; as well as, key representatives from =
Planning/Marketing/Merchandising/Store Operations.
=B7 Recommends which watches are included in major print media =
(e.g., Internal Communication and Direct Mail pieces).
