recruiting a Sales Manager - Academic (K-12 & Higher Education) & Commercial 
Markets for one of our highly valued retained clients. This position requires 
not only establishing a territory in academic sales but also requires working 
into corporate accounts. This position will be expected to build a team as 
revenue is generated while maintaining a sales territory. The Sales Manager is 
also expected to provide all management for his/her sales team including hiring 
and firing process. The "ideal" candidate will be someone who is willing to 
help "start-up" a marketplace and have both the "can-do" and "will-do" 
attitude. This position will require a blend of new business development/hunter 
capabilities, closing skills and have an entrepreneur spirit.

-- Experience in the eLearning, education, and/or complex solution software 
sales industries. Knowledge of eLearning/education industry preferred. 

-- A demonstrated ability to close relatively large ($50K+) software sales. 
-- Successful achievement of $1M+ quotas, consultative enterprise/solution or 
technical sales 
-- Ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time 
-- Ability to work in a team environment 
-- Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities 
through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with 
C-level and other decision-makers, and closing deals

-- Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that 
meets business goals based on client discussions

-- Ability to lead other sales staff
