Do you know anyone who is in immediate need of work
and would be available to go to Florida for a few
weeks? The Detroit Employment Center for the LDS
Church (the Mormons) sent me the following job
posting. The need for 100-1,000 housing inspectors is
IMMEDIATE - Deadline Friday. If you know of anyone who
fits the bill, pass on the following info to them.
  Thanks.

Note: I saw on the news that 1 of every 5 homes in
Florida has been damaged by this year's hurricanes, so
it sounds like there could be a lot of work, with the
opportunity to gross $500-600 per day.

Joe Andry: Can you get this out to the LVERS and
  DVOPS?
  Rick Isbell: What about Eric?

  Immediate Opening
  Company: Parsons Brinckerhoff
Title of Position: Independent Contractor Inspector
  Compensation: $43.00 per inspection
Start Date: As soon as possible- 10/1/2004
  Duration: Minimum of 2-4 weeks
Location: Will hire residents from anywhere within the
lower 48 United States or Puerto Rico to go to
  affected areas.
Parsons Brinckerhoff FEMA Disaster Housing Inspections
Program provides FEMA with the services of performing
residential damage assessments at President- declared
  disaster sites. Parsons Brinckerhoff deploys
independent contractors as housing inspectors to
complete these damage assessments on an as-needed
  basis.
Due to recent hurricanes 100-1,000 inspectors are
urgently needed who are ready to deploy in the next
2-5 days. Inspectors will be trained on-site and will
work for a minimum 2-4 weeks inspecting homes affected
by recent hurricanes. Airfare to and from Florida is
provided. All other expenses, including living and
travel expenses (motel, food, car rental, mobile
phone, etc.), are the responsibility of the inspector.

Inspectors use a handheld computer to record
information on damaged homes in federal declared
disaster areas, mostly in Florida. Inspectors are paid
$43 per inspection and may do an average of 15
inspections per day depending on working conditions,
  speed, etc.
  Desired Qualifications:

estate, appraisal, housing inspections or related
  professional areas is a plus
