POSITION: Product Marketing Director. Position reports to the CEO right =

COMPANY: Pre-IPO systems management software company. Company has =
approximately 30 employees with only a handful of people on the sales =
and marketing team right now. Company is growing rapidly and needs =
someone with experience in a lean, distributed, team oriented, fast =
paced, start-up environment.=20

LOCATION: Position is located in the San Francisco Bay area (south of =
the city). Working remotely is not an option. Relocation is not an =
option-unless you offer to pay for your own relocation expenses.=20

COMPENSATION: Annual base salary is expected to be in the low $100s=20

PERSONAL SUMMARY: Strong, analytical thinking and clear, demonstrated =
oral communication skills to present the content to various sales, =
engineering and support staff is required. Strong initiative and =
follow-through skills with high attention to detail are required. Need =
someone who is a self-starter; can work individually on projects and as =
a supportive team member. Need a team player that enjoys working with a =
close-knit group. Someone who is enthusiastic, hard working, and highly =
productive. Need someone experienced at managing and delivering on time =
against multiple priorities. Someone with excellent interpersonal, team =
building skills is necessary.=20

MANAGEMENT STYLE: The management style of the CEO is very adaptive and =
people oriented. He gives people the authority necessary to be =
successful, but expects them to be accountable. He has a lot of patience =
for people that are putting forth extraordinary effort, but has no =
patience for people that are not passionate or committed. He believes in =
hiring people that are the best at their skill set and letting them =
continue to grow. Must have someone who is also committed to doing =
whatever it takes to make it happen.=20


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:=20

=B7 Must have recent experience as a VP, Director and/or Manager of =
Product Marketing for a systems management software company, an =
enterprise infrastructure software company or a web services company.=20

=B7 It would be ideal if you have experience working for a pre-IPO =
software or web services company.=20

=B7 Experience in product marketing for a systems management software =
company, an enterprise infrastructure software company and/or a web =
services company is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED.=20

=B7 Strong technical undergraduate degree is preferred. Having a MBA is =
a plus.=20

=B7 Outstanding written communication skills to write various types of =
collateral; demonstrated ability to write product literature, customer =
interviews, case studies and white papers is required.=20

=B7 Must have someone who is capable of doing basic market research and =
analysis.=20

=B7 Must have someone with a good understanding of all aspects of =
product strategy and positioning and be able to incorporate that into =
all aspects of marketing.=20
