POSITION: Director or Senior Manager of Product Management. This is an =

appliance. They have approximately 50 employees and they are =

COMPENSATION: Annual base salary will be around $90-120k base DOE; =

PERSONAL SUMMARY: Position reports to the VP Engineering. He has a =
"hands off" style of management. He is a good team builder. He needs =
someone who can bring some process into the department in order to =
manage new product development. Want a more rigorous process. Need =

ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS:=20

. Must have recent/significant product management experience for network =
security hardware (e.g. creating a new network security "box".)=20

. Experience with OS security products and/or experience with OS or =
network management products would be ideal.=20

. Experience with network security products (firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, =
etc.) would be ideal.=20

. You must have successfully managed at least 2 network security =
hardware product lines throughout the entire lifecycle.=20

. Must have good presentation skills and the ability to speak about =
complex technologies. You will coordinate the introduction of the =
product into prospective customer test labs, interoperability labs and =
other testing facilities. You will also work closely with prospective =
customers and engineering to gather requirements and meet the =
requirements through product configuration and implementation of new =
capabilities. The ability to articulate the value of the product's =
features to prospective customers is the key to success in this =
position.=20

. Excellent verbal communication skills are paramount. Outstanding =
written communication skills to write various types of collateral; =
demonstrated ability to write product literature, customer interviews, =
case studies and white papers is required.=20

. Must have someone with experience doing competitive analysis.=20

. Prefer someone with experience doing pricing and margin analysis.=20

. Strong technical undergraduate degree is preferred. Having a MBA is a =
plus.=20

. Prefer someone with start up experience.=20
