TITLE:  QA Consultant
LOCATION:  Chicago, IL    Will provide relocation
SALARY:  80-95K
Requirements:
Must have Load Runner ver. 7.5 or above - Minimum 8 years of experience in
data processing environment with experience
in systems testing and analytical techniques
Expert knowledge of structured testing, methodology and various software
testing tools
Experience with other Mercury testing products (TestDirector, WinRunner)
Experience in regression and load testing is essential
Demonstrate mastery of data processing concepts, controls, and  procedures
This person must be technical as well as business oriented.  They will be
serving as a mentor to the QA Team of 20-25 people.  The QA Consultant will
report to the QA Manager (who is difficult to work with)  they need to be
patient and will be attending all meetings w/the QA Mgr then reporting to
the team.
They need someone who is strong in both Technical and Business side.  They
need to be patient.  The QA Manager is not very technical so this person
needs to be able to give her full details.
Knowledge of Rational ReqPro, RUP,  ClearCase and ClearQuest is considered a
plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the testing of large scale testing
projects.  Develop implementation and back out plans.  Develop, define
and continually improve testing procedures.  Act as a consultant/advisor
on the business and /or technical issues of testing the systems as well
as handle project management and resolve testing issues for projects.
Develop the test plan, test conditions and test cases to be used in
testing based on business requirements, technical specifications and/or
product knowledge.
Participates in walkthroughs related to the project(s) to be tested.
Perform testing to ensure that the business systems function properly
and according to the business requirements on large-scale projects with
minimal or no supervision.  Identify and document any and all problems
detected.  Retest problems when resolved.
Train and coach teams of associates as assigned.  Facilitate
discussion, cooperation, negotiations and communication within teams.
Train new hires as needed.  Lead in the design and development of test
beds and implements processes for updating test beds.
Develops a long term strategy for load testing using the
LoadRunner tool, help in developing capacity planning for the
organization, develop test plans for load tests, execute load tests and
analyze results.  Deliver results to management, technical associates
and non-technical associates.
