> - Define product requirements, communicating with potential customers,
field sales personnel, development engineers and industry analysts - Develop
a detailed understanding of customers' service offerings - Review
engineering functional and system test specifications to ensure consistency
of product development with expressed  requirements - Develop and contribute
to sales tools such as presentations, white papers, product descriptions,
data sheets, brochures, how-to-sell
>   briefs and other marketing collateral - Support sales activities by
responding to telephone and email requests for information on products,
features, applications and product roadmaps
> - Visit customer sites as appropriate for key sales opportunities
> - Deliver presentations to key customers visiting UTStarcom facilities
> - Publish periodic field sales product updates and newsletters
> - Provide content for intranet and external web site
> - Gather and analyze customer requirements
> - Translate customer requirements into product requirement and market
requirement specification documents
> - Contribute to the identification and prioritization of market segments
based on application requirements, market size data and competitive
information
> - Deliver competitive analysis reports to assist in product position and
strategy
> - Identify key market research reports and process same to summary views
on market landscape.

> Experience
> - Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
> - Five or more years experience in the telecom industry, preferably
working for telecom equipment vendors
> - Two years of product management experience
> - Prior experience with telephony and broadband access equipment and/or
access service providers highly desirable
> - Technical requirements include: ADSL, VDSL, SHDSL, G.SHDSL, GR-303,
V5.2, PPPoEthernet, ISDN, Q.931, PPPoATM, H-323, H-248, MEGACO, SIP,
T-Carrier, SONET, SDH, TCP/IP routing protocols
> - Position requires substantial travel
> - Bi-lingual in Mandarin highly desirable.
