My client company is located in the Midwest and is involved in the design,
manufacture and distribution of software products that sell into the
Financial Services and Healthcare industries.  The company is new and is
experiencing rapid growth.  They are currently seeking a seasoned Product
Development executive to join the corporate team.  The Product Development
executive will hone the vision for the company's products, confirm product
viability and deliver new products timed with the markets needs.  Candidates
will have a successful software product development track record in the
commercial market.  Key attributes of the Product Development executive are:
a.. A minimum of 10 years experience with software product development and a
winning track record bringing software products to market.
b.. A proven track record in managing product development teams.
c.. A strong sensitivity and knowledge of the importance of quality
throughout the development lifecycle.
d.. Strong background in computer networks and firewall technology.
e.. Experienced in creating and managing product support functions for
software products.
f.. Strong understanding and a practitioner of design for maintainability
principles.
g.. Entrepreneur - a prudent risk taker and visionary.
h.. Passionate with a keen ability to motivate and excite subordinates and
peers.
i.. Customer focused, that is ability to listen to the customer and deliver
solutions that meet or exceed his needs.
j.. Experienced in developing and executing effective product development
strategies.
k.. Comfortable in a startup company environment that is experiencing
explosive growth.
l.. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline,
MBA preferred.
This position reports to the CEO and offers an attractive compensation
package that includes equity and bonus.
