POSITION TITLE:   Manager of Engineering

LOCATION:  Plastic Products Company, Engineering, Mason, OH



PURPOSE OF POSITION:   Technical responsibility for directing engineering
activities related to design, construction, installation and operation of
systems and equipment to insure conformance with customer requirements.
Directly manages designated capital project activities of a small or large
scale.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1.. Directly manages and coordinates the Engineering Group, to include
training, project assignment, performance evaluations, hiring, coaching, and
corrective actions.
  2.. Manages and participates in the proposal, justification, design,
engineering and purchasing of capital equipment for use in Clopay plants.
  3.. Coordinates development and maintenance of overall company engineering
strategy and function with Engineering Project Manager and Plant Engineers.
Provides Engineering resources for the execution of projects to Engineering
Project Managers.  Responsible for continuous coordination among
Engineering, Development, and other Project Managers.
  4.. Responsible for designated plant equipment installations and startups,
including documentation and training.  Acts as resource in providing
technical assistance to plants.
  5.. Provide assistance to Plants for equipment modifications, major
maintenance, or during breakdowns.
  6.. Develops and manages outside technical resources to supplement Clopay
Engineers in major design and engineering activities.
  7.. Maintains current on applicable technological advancement and provides
recommendations to increase Clopay competitiveness.


REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical concentration
preferred.  Bachelor in Engineering with equivalent experience in mechanical
design will also be considered.

·         5 years experience in Project Engineering.

·         3 years Project Management and supervisory experience.

·         Specific knowledge of cast film equipment and process is
preferred.

·         Demonstrated capability to take major engineering processes from
conceptual state to completion.

·         Demonstrated experience with MS Office applications, MS Project,
AutoCAD, and Solid Edge is desirable.

·         Ability to travel approximately 50% and including international
travel, with the potential for short term international relocation.
