     Forensic Substance Abuse Specialist

 

Full time position to provide specialized CSP services (individual and group), 
counseling and diagnostic assessment to clients with severe mental illness and 
substance abuse diagnoses. Participate as member of community support teams 
working with individuals transitioning from prison or who are in court 
monitored treatment.  Perform intake functions, serve as a SAMI resource to 
team, and evaluate the need for medical, social, educational, vocational and 
other services.  Coordinate assessments, treatment planning, crisis assistance 
services and participates in overall service delivery.

 

BA plus 2 years required, formal SAMI education and/or experience preferred,  
CCDC preferred.  Excellent organizational, time management and communication 
skills and valid driver's license, vehicle and insurable driving record 
required.
