A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping persons with disabilities and
other employment barriers to enter the workplace and celebrating their 75th
year in existence, Life'sWork has expanded into an operation with nearly a
$10 million annual operating budget, one hundred and sixty employees, two
facility sites (Pittsburgh and Belle Vernon), four service sites and
upcoming service sites involving a social enterprise venture with Ben and
Jerry's and thrift stores. Life'sWork is seeking a visionary leader to
manage and grow its innovative rehabilitation programs and new social
venture enterprises for persons with a variety of employment barriers. Under
the direction of the Board of Directors, the President/CEO is responsible
for shaping Life'sWork's continued strategic direction and ensuring the
day-to-day vitality, sustainability, impact, and value of the organization's
services. The ideal candidate is an individual that has combined experience
in nonprofit vocational rehabilitation administration or human services
administration, management of operations similar in size and complexity to
Life'sWork, nonprofit fundraising, special events, grant writing, external
relations, and board development.
