Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time)

Burke, Inc. is a recognized leader in providing marketing research, online
survey research, customer loyalty programs, strategic consulting and other
decision support services. As an employee-owned company, we provide a
relaxed business casual atmosphere equipped with state-of-the-art
technology. Our corporate headquarters, located in downtown Cincinnati, OH
(next to City Hall), is accepting applicants for a Part-time Human Resources
Assistant for approximately 24 hours a week.

The primary responsibility of the HR Assistant is to provide support and
administrative assistance to the Benefit Manager and other members of the
Corporate HR Staff. The HR Assistant will be responsible for the following
duties in addition to others on an ongoing basis:
· Enter new employee information and changes into the HRIS/Payroll system
· Maintain employee and benefit information within our proprietary job
systems
· Produce and run various reports from these systems and Ceridian
· Process additions and changes for medical and dental insurance
· Complete and process various benefit administration forms
· Prepare monthly benefit billings
· Assist Benefit Manager with annual benefit enrollment process, PSPD
processing and vacation reconciliations
· Administer performance review system
· Assist with new hire paperwork
· Act as backup for Receptionist by covering breaks and absences at the
Reception desk
· And perform other administrative duties as needed such as filing,
assembling year-end mailings, providing refreshments for meetings, etc.

Job Qualifications:
The HR Assistant must possess good interpersonal skills including telephone
customer service skills; the ability to complete all assignments with
careful attention to detail; strong organizational skills; proficiency with
MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with a payroll and/or HRIS system -
Ceridian is preferred; and experience working within a benefits or human
resources function is helpful. The HR assistant must be available for
additional hours if required by department activities and peak periods
(typically November and December.)
