JOB OPENINGS- Week of  July 6, 2007

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR (Full-time, 8am-5pm, may vary) Directs and coordinates 
activities of food service facilities. Review food and beverage lists submitted 
by each facility manager to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly. 
Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet 
requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations. Analyzes 
information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron 
attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of 
facility operations. Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality 
standards and sanitation regulations.

Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to te years related experience 
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

 

AM/PM HOUSEKEEPING FLOOR INSPECTOR (Full-time, must be available for 1st and 
2nd shift, weekends required) Responsible for the training and development of 
Room Attendants. Inspects guest rooms, linen closets, corridors and public 
space areas.  Prepares rooms for VIP arrivals. Handles guest complaints.  

Minimum of 1 year housekeeping and supervisory experience required.

 

ROOM ATTENDANT (Full-time, 1st shift available, weekends required) Responsible 
for ensuring the cleanliness of the hotel rooms.  Cleans bathtub, sink, walls, 
mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces following all safe chemicals 
handling procedures, strips and makes beds using fresh linens daily, vacuums 
entire room, replenishes amenities, dusts and polishes furniture. 

Previous hotel cleaning experience required.

 

HOUSEMAN  (Full-time, 1st shift available, weekends required) Maintains hotel 
premises in clean and orderly manner.  Moves and arranges furniture as directed 
or needed.  Cleans, dusts and polishes metalwork in lobby, hallway and lounge 
areas.  Arranges decorations for special events.  Cleans bathrooms, guest 
rooms, stairways, etc. as assigned.  

Must be able to lift at least 25lbs. Previous hotel cleaning experience 
required. 

 

BANQUET SERVER (On-Call, all shifts, weekends required) Presents menus to 
restaurant guests, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and 
beverage service.  Takes food orders to guests.  Garnishes and decorates 
dishes. Prepares and delivers cocktails. Totals bills and accepts payments. 

Previous banquet or fine dining experience required.

 

TECHNICIAN HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING TRAINEE  (Full-time, must be available 
for all shifts, weekends required) Replaces exhausted or defective containers 
of refrigerant with new refrigerant. Lubricates fans, motors, and control 
units. Installs air and water filters in completed assembly. Furnishes worker 
with materials, tools, and supplies. Clean work area, machines, tools, and 
equipment. Performs other routine duties as assigned by lead technician.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months 
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and 
experience.
 

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (Full-time, must be available for all shifts, weekends 
required) Ensures that the property's guestrooms, public space and back of the 
house areas are in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety 
of maintenance trades including, but not limited to carpentry, electrical work, 
plumbing, dry-wall repair, vinyl repair, air conditioning, and masonry.  
Visually inspects and detects items needing 

repairs to ensure an attractive and well-maintained property.                   
                                                                                
                    

High school diploma and a minimum 1 year related experience required.

 

SECURITY AGENT (Full-time, must be available to work every shift, weekends 
required) Ensures the safety and security of all guests and staff of the hotel. 
 Completes rounds of property on a scheduled basis.  Initiates follow-up on all 
investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.  Assists sick 
or injured guests, ensuring documentation and disposition of disposition of 
reports.

High school diploma and at least 1 year Security related experience required.  
CPR and/or First Aid training preferred.

 

RESERVATIONS AGENT ( Full-time, 8am-6pm,weekends required)  Makes, confirms and 
cancels reservations for guests and employees in a pleasant, professional and 
efficient manner.  Creates a positive impression of the hotel in order to 
increase hotel occupancy.  Answers any inquiries pertaining to hotel services, 
registration of guests, local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel 
directions.  Obtains confirmation of travel and lodging space and rate 
information.  Keeps records of room availability and rates. 

Previous customer service/ call center experience required, some college 
coursework preferred.

 

GUEST SERVICES AGENT (Full-time, must be available for 2nd shift, weekends 
required) Completes a variety of duties in the front of the house to facilitate 
efficient guest services.  Checks guest in and out of hotel following proper 
procedures including cash handling, accounting and bell procedures.  Upgrades 
guest's bases on their expressed needs.  Must be knowledgeable regarding 
hotel's services and its surrounding area.  Excellent customer service skills a 
must. 

Customer service in a hotel, retail or airline environment required.

 

PBX OPERATOR 
(Full-time, 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm & some 3rd shift,11pm-7am, weekends required)  
Operates switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.  
Explains hotel amenities, operates paging system to relay in-house 
announcements or call individuals to the phone.  Must have excellent guest 
services and communication skills.  

Previous customer service or call-center experience preferred.
