                                                          SR. COST ACCOUNTANT

This position is responsible for the cost accounting and special projects of 
the organization.  The focus will be cross-functional with heavy interaction 
with operations, engineering and sales.  This person will be responsible for 
getting involved in new growth areas (internal or external), analyzing the 
associated costs and ensuring that they are financially viable and successful.  
                                                                                
                                  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

(Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

·         Setting standards, reviewing variances and analyzing costs.  Ensuring 
costs are accurate in order to do proper new product introductions and sales 
program launches.

·         Liaison to Engineering in training on financial aspects of project 
management including phase out of old products (reducing E&O exposure and 
maximizing profit).  Measure and take corrective action when necessary in 
reviewing and achieving cost saving targets.

·         Filling new program initiatives for growth areas such as Leisure and 
Plumbing Wholesale.

·         Liaison to sales in analyzing prospective customer programs/deals.

·         Responsible for ensuring proper controls are in place throughout all 
functions of the organization.                                                  
                                               

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

No direct supervision of staff is required. However, people skills are very 
important due to the interrelation needed between functions to satisfactorily 
meet objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BS degree in accounting or related field.  MBA/CPA preferred.  Experience in a 
manufacturing facility with at least two years of cost accounting experience.
