RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Application Development & Support will report to the Chief
Information Officer of the company.  The Director will lead a total employee
complement of approximately 25 staff, inclusive of two direct reports that
oversee PeopleSoft systems and customer demand forecasting, delivery routing
and quality assurance testing. Principal responsibilities include directing
the development and maintenance of all systems.  Primary systems are built
on a PeopleSoft platform and include financials, CRM, order management, and
billing.  Other systems vendors include Descartes (delivery routing) and
Symbol (mobility solutions).

The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership to a well-organized
group of technology professionals, continue to develop and deliver
innovative, industry leading technology solutions and maximize the value of
the Company's PeopleSoft investment.   PeopleSoft financials were
implemented in the fall of 2001 and the CRM and related modules was
implemented in August of 2002 in a new business model pilot representing 5%
of the company.

In addition to immediately integrating himself/herself into the team, it
will be imperative that the Director quickly establishes relationships with
members of various operating groups, as well as staff members.  The Director
will lead a number of crucial initiatives including 1) Stabilize and improve
the systems operations of the recent CRM and related PeopleSoft modules
implementation, 2) Lead the tuning and improvement of the recently
implemented demand forecasting and routing systems, and 3) Plan and prepare
for the continued rollout of the new systems to the remainder of the
company.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in Computer Science,
Information Technology or directly related field.  An advanced degree would
be considered favorably.
· Ten or more years' experience in IT development management with at least
five years in a senior level position.
· A demonstrated track record of increasing levels of responsibility.
· Significant experience with application development in a multi-platform,
distributed technology environment.
· Experience with PeopleSoft, preferably version 8.0, is required.
· Excellent vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
· Experience managing 20+ staff members.
· Candidates should have a broad, well-rounded IT background.
· A track record of success working with technical and non-technical
personnel as well as senior management is necessary.
· A comfort level with new ideas, risk, change and state-of-the-art
concepts.

MANAGER, MOBILITY

Chief Information Officer of the company.  The Manager, Mobility will lead a
small (currently two staff) but strategically important team that will be
responsible for the implementation and management of the Company's PDA and
wireless technology initiatives. Principal responsibilities include planning
and managing the development, implementation and rollout of a PDA solution,
supported by wireless technology, in a fleet of 3,300 trucks company-wide.
The new mobility system launched in August 2002 and is currently operating
in a pilot representing 5% of the company's operations.

In addition to immediately integrating himself/herself into and organizing
the team, it will be imperative that the Manager quickly establishes
relationships with peers in the organization as well as creating solid
working relationships with the company's mobility and wireless vendors.  The
key initiative for this position includes planning and managing the
development of the mobility solution built on a Symbol hardware and custom
software platform.
