JobDescript: We currently have an opening available in our Blue Ash
Technical Center, in the Systems Architecture and Engineering UNIX support
and services team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day support
and system administration of a dynamic Open Systems platform infrastructure.
The applicant will work closely with the IS&S users, application,
operations, technical staff and vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
 Provide ongoing Level 3 support for our enterprise UNIX (primarily
AIX & Linux) environments.
 Provide project technical leadership when interfacing and
coordinating projects with users, application, operations and technical
support teams.
 Troubleshoot and rectify hardware and OS related issues.
 Work with vendors on problem handling, resolution, upgrades and new
product installs.
 Work with management to maintain a highly productive and stable
support infrastructure team.
 Stay abreast of the industry�s current and advanced IBM pSeries
technology changes and direction.
 Participate in on-call pager rotation.
Location: Cincinnati OH
Requirements_Qualif:  Three plus years of hands-on experience with
pSeries server environments and the AIX operating system.
 Experience with HMC and VIO is highly desirable.
 Experience with ITIL is a plus.
 Good analytical, problem solving, organizational and project
management skills are required.
 Good oral communication and technical writing skills.
 Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and have a
strong customer service focus.
 Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, follow
written policies/procedures, and develop into a technical leader.
 Must have technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies.
 Ability to handle multiple project assignments concurrently.
The following are work experiences and skills considered as value added:
 Hands-on experience and skills in other Unix environments like
Linux.
 Hands-on experience and skills with Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
 Hands-on experience with EMC and IBM SAN attached disk subsystems.
 Hands-on experience with SDD and PowerPath.
 Hands-on experience with HACMP.
 Hands-on experience with BMC performance monitoring too
