This position has a dual role. This position is responsible for telephonic
support for customer system administrators who are responsible for the
site�s electronic patient record system. This position is also responsible
for the delivery of customer training sessions related to system
administration of the ChartMaxx configuration, in traditional and electronic
classroom environments.
ChartMaxx is a mission critical, client/server application involving UNIX
servers, Windows servers, Web based user interfaces, Oracle databases,
document management, workflow, custom developed inbound and outbound
interfaces, and hierarchical storage management.
Principal Responsibilities:
� Provide responsive and accurate telephone support for customers in order
to resolve client software/hardware issues.
� Design and implement configuration or programming changes necessary to
resolve software/hardware system issues.
� Provide regular system monitoring for assigned customers.
� Install ChartMaxx Minor Upgrades and OS patches, as a remote service.
� Direct and assist in changes to hardware configuration, as a remote
service.
� Provide support for custom developed interfaces for inbound and outbound
data.
� Create and maintain accurate support documentation, including FAQ�s,
technical notes, and detailed call notes for all issues and resolutions in
the Company�s support tracking system.
� Conduct classroom based training sessions for adult students, on all
aspects of ChartMaxx system administration.
� Conduct Webex based training sessions for adult students, on selected
topics of ChartMaxx system administration.
� Create classroom training materials to support the constantly changing
system administration curriculum.
� Contribute to team based assignments in the delivery of exceptional
customer training services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
� Sophisticated trouble-shooting techniques to isolate and reproduce
customer problems.
� Strong knowledge of HP and IBM servers, UNIX operating systems (HP-UX and
AIX).
� Knowledge of EMC Clarion and Centera, Windows operating systems (2000 and
XP), Networking Administration, Enterprise Faxing, HL7 Interfaces, Backup
Software, Server and PC hardware.
� Strong technical troubleshooting skills for software, hardware, and
related network communications.
� Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to
communicate technical information to non-technical users.
� Analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop
solutions.
� Adult education process skills.
� Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
� Interviewing skills
� Curriculum design and training material preparation skills.
� Training material preparation using electronic tools other than just Word,
e.g., FrameMaker, Design.A.Course, Encore, ROBOhelp, Captivate, Flash
� Process analysis skills (preferably in the health care industry).
Minimum Qualifications:
� Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
� 5 years� experience as a trainer, in the software industry
� 3 to 5 years� curriculum writing and tutorial design skills with portfolio
sample
� 4-5 years� experience with development or support of a large enterprise
client/server application.
� 4-5 years� experience working with:
1. UNIX Operating systems (HP-UX and AIX)
2. EMC hardware and software
3. Oracle/SQL experience
4. writing and debugging shell scripts
5. Windows Operating systems (2000 & XP)
6. Server hardware and Peripherals
7. PC hardware and Peripherals
� Ability to travel to customer sites for week training sessions, 10% to 20%
yearly travel
� Samples of instructor�s work product will be requested during the
interview process.
