Under general supervision, an IT Project Manager/Analyst has responsibility
for leading cross functional teams in the development and implementation of
new systems to support assigned business functional areas.  A significant
portion of the Project Manager/Analyst�s time is spent documenting user
requirements, test cases and testing strategy for IT projects and some
enhancements.  In this capacity a Project Manager/Analyst is responsible for
facilitating project team meetings to gather user requirements.  The
emphasis in the position is on gaining a thorough understanding of user
needs through ongoing face-to-face interaction and translating those to a
form that can be understood and used by the Systems Development group.

 In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for creating and
maintaining a project plan for all assigned projects.  The Project Manager
is expected to follow the project management guidelines set forth in the IT
Project Methodology document.  The Project Manager is expected to provide
regular status updates to the project team participants and management.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

� Create and maintain project plans with milestones and work with team
members to produce deliverables on time and within budget
� Prepare project metrics for reporting to management and other associates.
� Act as liaison among project team members and stakeholders.
� Facilitate regular project status meetings with the project team.
� Responsible for project communication.  Insures that all project team
members are informed of changes in direction, issues, or any other
information that will affect their ability to perform their role in the
project.
� Take a lead role in issue resolution for projects and/or enhancements.
Insure that the proper people are included so issues can be resolved in a
timely manner.
� Negotiate scope of projects with project team members and document results
in standard Statement of Work format.
� Facilitate meetings of cross-functional team members to elicit user needs
and potential impact on existing software.  Document user needs in client�s
standard Business Needs & Use Cases format.
� Take the lead in documenting the project testing strategy and test cases
with the assistance of project team members.
� Take the lead in creating user documentation or ensure another team member
is taking responsibility for it.
� Develop a thorough understanding of work processes, user needs and client
needs for segments of the business impacted by assigned projects.
� Lead cross-functional project teams through the systems development life
cycle using the standard methods established by the IT department
leadership.
� Develop and maintain strong business relationships with leadership.

Requirements_Qualif: REQUIREMENTS

 �         4 year degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent work
experience

�         Three or more years of MIS/Business related experience

�         Three or more years of project management experience, including
system development and implementation activities

�         Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

�         Excellent written and oral communications skills

�         Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

�         Aptitude for technical procedures and processes
