Summary

Fast growing, $30 million electronic manufacturing firm has an employment 
opportunity for a qualified Sales Representative to support its sales efforts 
by developing new business, providing sales interface, sales quotes and 
technical support to existing and potentially new customers/markets. In 
addition to focusing on new sales and customer service, this position will also 
be responsible for strong market research to solidify firm's position with 
existing customers. The Sales Representative is also responsible for site 
visits, first contact for all customer issues and sales and marketing 
intelligence gathering from customers.

 

Qualifications:

  a.. Two plus years experience in Sales and Customer Interaction for similar 
related industry 
  b.. Proven strong new sales and customer support experience 
  c.. Technical capabilities 
  d.. Technical Degree is desirable, but not required 
  e.. Computing skills required: Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, 
and Pointman or other general business systems
 

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

Ø      Working with customers such as: Maytag, GE Consumer & Industrial, 
Whirlpool, Camco, Mabe, and consumer product OEMs.

Ø      Prior experience working as an Account Development Manager 

Ø      Closing new sales while collaborating with senior management, marketing, 
design engineering, and manufacturing.

Ø      Identifying additional opportunities closely related to core product 
families and bringing them to market.

Ø      Launching new electrical/electromechanical components.

Ø      Serving as the customer's advocate for support with current quality and 
delivery issues.

Ø      Training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, APQP 
procedures, PPAP process, 6S, and familiarity with importation/exportation 
process (Customs brokerage),

Ø      Fluency in Spanish (a plus)

 

Additional Information:

Travel required (Approximately 40%)

Benefits:

Compensation
Base annual salary $45,000 to $65,000 (depending on skills and qualifications)
Potential sales commission on new business
