ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Indianapolis (Northwest Side)

 

A 20M+ company located on the Northwest side of Indianapolis has an immediate 
employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager. Reporting to the company's 
President, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for coordinating and 
managing the general accounting function. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS: 

·        Cash Flow Management

·        Responsible for A/R, A/P, and Account Reconciliation 

·        Ensure monthly statements and financials are completed in a accurate 
and timely manner 

·        Establish accounting policies, procedures & practices.

·        Data entry into the accounting system

·        Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating 
results.

·        Provide financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets 
and standards

·        Supervise the Accounting Department 

·        Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

·        Ensure maintenance of general accounting, cost accounting,  payables 
and receivables

·        Direct plant inventory procedures, including coordination of physical 
inventories.

·        Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing the 
financial position of the plant.

 

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

·        Extensive knowledge and experience with PC spreadsheet programs 
(Excel).

·        Experience creating reports

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:  

·        BS Degree with a major in finance, accounting or related business area 
or equivalent amount of experience. 

Experience:

·        Three or more years of progressive experience in business accounting 
is essential, which includes technical experience in cost accounting, general 
ledger accounting, financial analysis, budget preparation and forecasting.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications and 
experience

Eligible for full benefits including Health Insurance, Dental/Vision Insurance, 
401 (k) and Company paid Short Term and Long Term Disability following 
introductory period
