Senior Manager, Technology Supply- Company designs, develops, manufactures
and markets high-performance, high-bandwidth silicon integrated circuit (IC)
solutions for wide area networks. A market leader regarding speed, our
engineers design chips for high speed Internet hardware utilizing silicon
technology at speeds up to 40 gigabits per second (OC-768). AMCC designs
integrated products, integrating the physical layers with VLSI at high data
rates. A 23-year-old, Southern California based semiconductor company with
products ranging from digital, analog and mixed signal to network
processing, traffic management and switch fabric. Will define and implement
corporate supply management programs to support business objectives
including supplier evaluation, selection, monitor and improvement. Will
develop supply base strategy and drive implementation to meet objectives of
cost, quality, supply assurance while meeting technology/product roadmap
requirements. Will establish formal supply agreement contracts with
strategic suppliers. Will build and manage relationships with suppliers
including the establishment of formal requirements, quarterly business
reviews, rating and continuous improvements and annual supplier appreciation
event. Will negotiate and drive material cost reductions for baseline
pricing and special situations. Will establish metrics for supply management
group and drive continuous improvement. Will lead cross-functional commodity
teams to manage business and technical initiatives and issues for supply
base. Will drive supply requirements to meet near-term material and business
objectives. Requires BA degree in business or engineering. Technical
background desirable. Must have semiconductor experience will separate
strong candidates. Requires 10+ years experience in supply
management/materials/planning/operations. Travel. Will relocate. Reports To:

Manager Architecture Design & Support - Latin America- One of the leading
businesses offering a variety of different types of manufactured products
covering many product areas such as consumer, business and high tech.
Company markets merchandise through a number of wholly owned subsidiaries
and a complex distribution network. Total Latin American sales are $700+
with more than 750 people. Initially will be a staff position. Will work
with different subsidiaries to analyze the IT needs of the organization and
develop the proper strategies in terms of software and hardware. Once the
platforms have been determined, will coordinate the installation of either
hardware or software in the subsidiaries and the providers. Will ensure that
field personnel have proper training and supervision. The ideal candidate
will have had 5-10 years IT experience in both field and regional
operations, some of which includes Latin America. Multi-site and
multi-country exposure is ideal. Familiarity with centralized systems and
standard IT policies and procedures is important. Knowledge of complex
information processing systems, especially similar to SAP desirable.
Proficiency in English and Spanish a must. Portuguese and Japanese a plus.
This position could lead to higher management responsibilities. Travel.
