Category Director of IT/Telecom, where the person will be managing the
Network Environment on the Procurement side.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Accountable for the delivery of operational and outsourced procurement
services to Strategic Clients encompassing the development, sales, value
creation and strategic as well as operational supplier management of the IT
& Telecom Category which includes IT Hardware (PC, Servers, Unix), IT
peripherals, software (licensed and shrink wrapped) and related services
(IMAC type lifecycle expenditures) along with Telecom services such as
wireless, long distance voice/data and teleconference and Telecom hardware
such as switches, routers and PBX systems.  Initial responsibility will
focus on working with the companies largest customer to deliver increased
services and IT procurement strategy for their newly created Business Unit.
Over time, the candidate will also be responsible for overseeing
implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing profitability of the
category and development of unique strategies and insight to aid customers
with strong existing strategies.   Candidate must address the needs of large
enterprise customers and smaller customers with narrower/simpler IT needs.
This director will be responsible for revenue generation and category
profitability.

Salary is around $130k plus bonus.  Limited relocation package,  the
positions are in Chicago, Dallas and Philadelphia.
