> Our client, rated top 25 employers in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe,
has an IMMEDIATE need for a Director of Applications Development. This
person should be prepared to be in the spot light. Reporting to the Chief
Financial Officer, you will be working in conjunction with the Executive
Board of Directors as well as acting as a liaison between the Clinical
Department, Divisions, Foundations and Information Service Departments for
this $400M+ organization. More specifically, you will manage, direct and
participate in the analysis, design, test, documentation, implementation and
maintenance of approximately 150 in-house and vendor clinical and financial
applications. You will have a team of approximately 20 application
specialists that are responsible for the development, deployment and
maintenance of corporate wide clinical applications. You will be responsible
for pre-screening the country's leading vendors of Integrated Clinical
Systems and manage and coordinate vendor involvement in the implementation
processes corporate wide.
> Skills required include a minimum of 10 years of experience in the
Information Technology world. Should currently be in a position of Director,
Associate Director or AVP of a large scale IT organization reporting to
either the CIO or CFO. Furthermore, you should have at least 3-4 years of
management experience and experience in the healthcare industry (health
plans, Biotech/Pharmaceutical, Hospitals, etc). Any experience with
Integrated Clinical Systems is a tremendous plus. Compensation is dependant
on skillset.
