Required Experience
 

·         Extensive experience with solid modeling in production of sheet metal

Development Process

 

·      Work with Sales, Marketing or Engineering Manager to define development 
expectations

 

·      Develop schedule detailing design requirements, test requirements, and 
agency test/compliance requirements 

 

·      Coordinate with Test Lab all required tests and projected time required 
for testing

 

·      Coordinate with Compliance Engineer the test/documentation requirements 
for UL approvals

 

·      Track and report weekly on progress, completions, deficiencies, etc.

 

·      Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering any required tooling, 
fixturing, jigging, etc.

 

·      Coordinate with Industrial Engineering any required process changes, 
subassemblies, new assembly stations, etc.

 

·      Coordinate with Quality Engineering any process capability assessment, 
load tests, etc.

 

·      Coordinate new purchased parts with Procurement to ensure on-time 
delivery

 

·      Coordinate with Production a date for prototype production runs and 
disposition of any materials that must be depleted from inventory or scraped

 

·      Submit reasonable timelines for completion of each segment of the 
project with milestones and deadlines

 

 

 

In short, the Design Engineer is the Project Manager who owns the development 
process and is responsible for meeting the schedule.  He/she must do what it 
takes to meet program objectives and pull together resources (human, material, 
otherwise) to overcome any obstacles. 

 

 

 

Sales/ Production Support

 

·      Return all questions and phone calls quickly and courteously.

 

·      Answer all questions to the best of your ability; however, if you do not 
know, ask.

 

·      The Customer is first and foremost in all that we do.  Respond to them 
quickly.

 

·      Ask questions.  During the design process, consult the production line, 
Field Service, and the Production Engineers for design considerations

 

Position: Engineering Technician

SUMMARY: Operates a brake press to form metal parts to be used in assembly 
process by performing the following duties. 

 

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

·         ECN error checking to ensure compliance with Engineering Standards.

 

·         Drawing review to ensure compliance with industry and company 
standards.

 

·         ECN electronic file review and maintenance.

 

·         Creation and maintenance of Engineering Standards.

 

·         Hard Copy File maintenance of released ECN documentation, patent 
documentation, and Engineering bulletins.

 

·         Release and distribution of ECN documentation to appropriate 
departments.

 

·         Develop a system to migrate microfiche drawings to viewable 
electronic images.

 

·         Assist other departments with AS400 maintenance.

 

·         Consider cost, quality, and manufacturing concerns as they relate to

65 miles from each Lincoln (NW) and Omaha (N).  The plant manufactures and 
assembles house hold products involving plant costs exceeding $50 million per

million.  Under the general direction of the Plant Manager and Division Finance 
team, this position is accountable for the consolidated summary and reporting
