I need a Lead Data Warehouse Architect, with the following skills:
Complete Description:
· Participate in the gathering and documenting of technical requirements
for a data warehouse.
· Provide proactive guidance to design teams to ensure timely and
appropriate requirements is captured.
· Provide expert guidance to project teams in the architecture of data
warehouse data models.
· Work closely with Business Subject Matter Experts, ETL Developers, Data
Modelers, and Database Administrators.
· Create logical data warehouse data models to support the business and
data warehouse requirements.
· Ensure that the all data models support best-practices and integrate into
the enterprise data warehouse.
· Assist in the creation of physical data models to ensure architectural
and performance feasibility.
· Provide expert guidance to project teams in the architecture supporting
and including ETL processes.
· Write standards documents regarding project-specific and best-practice
ETL techniques.
· Lead development and/or perform development of infrastructure routines to
support ETL techniques.
· Lead development and/or perform development of ETL process templates.
· Assist in the design and architecture of cross-platform integration
between source systems and ETL processes.
· Assist in the design and architecture of the orchestration and scheduling
of ETL processes.
· Assist in the identification and implementation of conformed dimensions.
·Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
·Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
·Must be able to decipher meaning of data warehouse business and ETL
requirements.
·Must be able to communicate effectively with both project leadership and
technical staff. In depth, proven, practical understanding of Data
Warehousing design principles.
· Identify and raise architectural issues where design principles are
best-practice might be compromised.
At least 5 years experience in full-life-cycle data warehouse development
and implementation. At least 5 years of Oracle database experience. Oracle
9i is highly desirable.
Experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder experience is desirable.
Experience with high data volume data warehousing projects is highly
desirable.
Unix scripting and job scheduling experience is desirable.
Experience with a cross-platform scheduling tool (e.g. Appworx) is
desirable. Experience with EAI tools (e.g. Tibco, Biztalk) is helpful
