Consulting Sales Director/Northeast Public Sector

(This is not a quota carrying "sales" position for product/license sales
opportunities.)

Location: Anywhere in the Northeast (including NJ & PA North)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, develop and close new business for Oracle Consulting in state
and local government, higher education in the assigned regional territory.
*  Focus on large, strategic opportunities.
*  Build and manage a pipeline.
*  Focus on large programs, strategic market segments and key customers.
* Create and lead the strategic plan and the tactical actions to identify
business opportunities, qualify, identify solution fit, drive the contract
process, and close the business.
*  Orchestrate the pre-sales resources & activities, RFP responses, client
expectation, etc.
*  Own the full sales cycle:  pipeline creation, management,  forecast,
qualification and close.
*  Coordinate proposal development process  (e.g. win theme, executive
summary, legal/contract/consulting mgmt approval process, securing of
proposal manager and technical resources).
*  Work closely with geographic consulting and sales organization support
early and continuously.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Must have experience selling Consulting Services into Northeast Higher
Education/Public Sector
- Successful track record selling technology consulting services.
- State and Local, Higher Education industry knowledge & relationships.
- Aggressive, focused personality.
-Consulting sales person from one of Oracle Consulting's competitors (Big
5 / systems integrator consulting background--senior mgr/director/VP
level).
-Open to travel throughout assigned territory.  (NE Travel)
