We discussed offers like this at the IT forum after the regular meeting Feb
24th. 

If you maybe interested in the position, make sure you understand all the
financial impllications of going on W-2 or Corp-corp, espescially the timing
of pay.  

e.g.  Not uncommon that on  a corp- corp , you as a sub contractor get paid
after the recruiting agency gets paid by the client.  If they are not
allowedto invoice weekly, neither can you.   So, if able to invoice weekly ,
it still can take 60 days to get paid every check 

As for w-2, if your rate is all inclusive-that generally means all your
expenses are paid by you out of your pocket.  Your rate must figure in the
weekly expected expenses, room and food etc. 

But if on the w-2,  gross earnings , say 40 hrs at $50/hr =$2000 which puts
you in say a 28% bracket on withholding , adding in SS, state taxes, 
medicaid and whatever net could be at 60% or less.  But at 60% , take home
is$1200 from which you pay out your weekly expenses on credit card.  This is
a good deal of expenses are only a couple hundred dollars . 

Now if your tax rate is higher or expenses higher , your cash flow to live
oncan be low.  While you can deduct your expenses on your income tax , that
is at the end of the year.

One way to help this situation is find out if and how much overtime you can
work.  Or are you capped at 40 hrs.  Remember, if you elect to stay
week-ends, room and food is now for 7 days.
