The Campus Recruiting Manager is responsible for recruiting qualified campus
candidates to fill intern, co-op, and entry-level positions in our
Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Louisville offices of Ernst & Young. This
individual drives recruiting activities; develops and maintains relationships
with campus placement offices, professors, and local business unit leaders; and
provides the campus relations partner and client service recruiting teams with
guidance on recruiting strategies and processes. The Campus Recruiter is a
point person for students, field HR, the campus recruiting manager and the
internal business team. This professional also acts as a liaison to the
recruiting event planner and facilitates the quality care of candidates.
Responsibilities
Implement entry-level recruiting plans for a designated area/business unit.
Meet recruiting plan numbers for local office internships, co-ops, externships
and full-time hires. Meet diversity, gender, and other sourcing and recruiting
goals.
Implement sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates while paying
particular attention to diversity initiatives.
Act as the primary recruiting point of contact for key client groups. Develop
and maintain relationships with academic faculty, career office employees,
students, the campus relations partner, client service recruiting teams, field
HR, the campus recruiting business contact and the internal business team.
Develop relationships with universities to meet various firm business needs.
Be responsible for recruiting in accordance with national guidelines and laws.
Address inconsistencies at strategic schools or schools from which more than
one area recruits.
Manage area/business unit internship programs. Drive a better return on
investment for the internship programs.
Actively recruit internal client serving volunteers to represent E&Y on campus.
Manage and train these teams and provide subject matter expertise on recruiting
issues. Obtain a high level of client service participation for campus
recruiting activities.
Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local marketplace, and disseminate
local market intelligence to key client groups.
Coach and direct campus recruiters in filling designated area/business unit
needs.
Serve as a liaison to the recruiting event planner and facilitate the quality
care of candidates. Participate in the hand-off of hired candidates to local
HR.
To qualify, candidates must have:
a.. a bachelor's degree
b.. minimum of 5 years experience in a campus recruiting role
c.. strong knowledge of the firm's recruiting policy, procedures and
databases
d.. knowledge of recruiting/placement laws and practices
e.. knowledge of firm-wide orientation and service line orientation programs
f.. general knowledge of compensation practices
g.. general knowledge of benefit laws and practices
h.. exceptional customer focus, interpersonal, coaching and teamwork skills
i.. the ability to attract and retain the best talent
j.. the ability to build strong, local internal and external relationships
