Below are (2) two Information Technology Analyst positions within the 
University of Cincinnati Information Technologies division.  The first 
listed is a multimedia/instructional technology support position with 
the Faculty Technology Resources Center (FTRC).   Next is a 
Presentation Technologies & Services Group (PTSG) position with primary 
responsibilities in videoconferencing and streaming media.

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Presentation Technologies & Services Group 
(PTSG) of UCit Instructional & Research Computing seeks an Information 
Technology Analyst. This person will have primary responsibility for 
configuring the University's multipoint conference unit (MCU) for 
scheduled and ad hoc conferences among H.323 and H.320 endpoint users. 
This position is responsible for assessing the technical needs of 
videoconferencing end users and facilitates the completion of their 
conferences by properly configuring equipment to operate in UC's 
network environment. In addition, this person will collaborate with 
other PTSG personnel in the development of database-driven multimedia 
web applications, assist with the administration of streaming media 
servers, and assist other PTSG personnel with the production of live 
and on-demand webcasts and other digital media (e.g. CD, DVD) as 
needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in a related area or at 
least 4 years relevant professional experience required. Two years of 
practical experience administering videoconferences in a mixed protocol 
environment (e.g. H.323, H.320). Two years of demonstrated experience 
programming with any two of the following: JavaScript, PHP, ASP, MySQL 
(or other SQL-based DBMS), Actionscript, or Lingo. Excellent 
communications skills and customer service orientation. The ideal 
candidate will have experience working with non-technical customer base 
in an academic setting and experience with Polycom MGC, Flash and/or 
Dreamweaver.
