Job Description: 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION 
The successful candidate for the diagnostic medical physicist position will
provide diagnostic radiology services for all imaging modalities including
ACR accreditation testing, periodic QA and audit testing, and state
registration or inspection of x-ray units for state and federal regulatory
compliance. This person will help lead the company's effort to expand
services to the medical community nationally. Additional work performed will
involve providing radiation safety related training (on-site, client-site,
and computer-based) and consulting for a wide range of private and public
sector clients. 
Primary responsibilities include:
. Performing work as a Diagnostic Medical Physicist 
. Performing work as part of a team of core senior professionals as follows:

o Participate or lead consulting projects as assigned
o Contribute as an instructor and developer for in-house and computer-based
radiation safety training
o Travel to client sites to provide consulting services and radiation safety
training
o Contribute to company marketing efforts, including responding to telephone
and email inquiries and assisting in proposal preparation

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
. M.S. or Ph.D. in medical physics, physics, engineering, or related
physical science is required
. ABR or ABMP certification in diagnostic radiological physics is required
. ACR accreditation preferred in addition to FDA certification in
mammography physics 
. Minimum five or more years of proven experience in the field of medical
physics
. Proven ability to be self-directed and to work independently
. Ability to travel to client sites on a regular basis
. Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to
present information to individuals and groups

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work will include
visits to client sites to conduct inspections and may require occasional
weekend and/or evening hours.
