I'm writing today because of a great informal international student
ministry opportunity that I want your church community to know about.
Here's a blurb that's being published at other area churches. :

Have room in your heart and your home? ELS, an intensive English
language school for international students, is looking for host
families! If you have the gift of hospitality, live within 45 minutes of
UC by bus, and can provide a private bedroom, continental breakfast and
prepared dinner each night for an international student, ELS will
compensate $640 per four week session. Students attend classes from 8:30
am to 4 pm most weekdays on the UC campus. We have special immediate
needs for families without pets willing to host students from Saudi
Arabia. What a great opportunity for you to have an impact and build a
meaningful friendship that could last a lifetime! Interested? Contact
