The primary function of the Network Solutions Team is to provide core
network design, implementation, and support for the Kroger enterprise
infrastructure.  Candidate must have in-depth experience working in a
large enterprise network.  
Essential Job Functions:
*       Develop and implement network designs, policies, and solutions
based on business requirements. 
*       Research, evaluate and recommend emerging networking strategies
and solutions to support the future requirements of the business. 
*       Maintain a highly available enterprise network. 
*       Work within a team environment to establish and improve
processes and procedures.  
*       Participate in a rotating "on call" schedule with other members
of the Network Solutions team. 
*       Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential
issues and tune appropriately.  
*       Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position
with or without reasonable accommodation.
Job Requirements:
*       Minimum of 3 years experience in network design, implementation
and support. 
*       Extensive experience with LAN and WAN design utilizing Cisco
routing and switching technologies such as TCP/IP, Spanning-Tree, DHCP,
SSH and HSRP.  
*       Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing
fault-tolerant campus or data center LAN's. 
*       Advanced knowledge of QoS implementation strategies and design
for critical applications 
*       Experience with network service provider networks and large
enterprise networks (MPLS and DWDM). 
*       Routing protocols experience (Static, OSPF, RIP, BGP)
redistribution and summarization. 
*       Routing protocol metric and settings configuration for desired
traffic flow. 
*       Exemplary customer support skills with a proven track record of
delivering results in a fast paced environment. 
*       Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 
*       Ability to interact effectively with both technical and
non-technical personnel & customers. 
*       Ability to prioritize multiple assignments. 
*       Ability to learn new technologies. 
*       Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. 
*       CCNA is required. 
*       CCNP or equivalent experience preferred.
