Job Title:  Quality Control Chemist 

 

Your primary job responsibilities are:

Responsible for performing routine testing of raw materials, in-process
and finished products

Accountable for maintaining appropriate documentation (records and lab
notebooks) as required by SOP?s that complies with all cGLP/cGMP.

Assist in writing SOP?s, SMMs, troubleshooting and problem solving

Responsible for preventative maintenance and calibration of analytical
instruments (i.e., pH meter, FTIR, KF, HPLC, UV, etc.)

Work in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures as
well as state and federal laws.

Responsible for operating general analytical instruments during testing
(i.e., HPLC, GC, UV, TOC, FTIR, moisture apparatus and balances etc.)

Responsible for performing peer review of other chemist?s work

Accountable for complying with good housekeeping and safety practices.

Performing other duties as necessary

Requirements_Qualif: To qualify for this position, you will have: 

BS in chemistry related sciences

Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements

Knowledge of operating analytical instruments such as: HPLC, GC, UV,
TOC, FTIR and Polari meter and analyzing data from instruments.

Minimum one year of laboratory experience

Knowledge in computer programs related to laboratory instruments (i.e.
HPLC, FTIR, UV and TOC).

Sound analytical techniques to perform tests.
