The City of Delaware is seeking a dedicated, creative, responsive and
experienced Economic Development Coordinator.  The successful candidate
should possess a Bachelor's degree in public or business administration,
economics, finance or related field with a master's degree preferred;
supplemented by a minimum of five years progressively responsible
management experience that includes senior level economic development
activities in a public sector agency or equivalent organization that
would confer a comparable skills base.  Previous municipal government
experience and the ability to obtain professional certification as a
Certified Economic Developer are desired. The Economic Development
Coordinator reports directly to the City Manager and is responsible for
all aspects of Economic Development; interfacing with public, private
and non-profit organizations for business attraction, creation,
expansion and retention activities and oversight for a full-service
