Title: Desktop Support Tech
Location: Cincy
Duration: 3 months contract to potential perm
RATEL $20/hr
 
Position Description:

This position will be responsible for coordinating root cause analysis
and issue resolution for reported PC performance issues across various
Kroger enterprise locations. The Enterprise Desktop Support group
provides support for desktop tools including anti-virus, software
deployment, desktop firewall, as well as enterprise Operating Systems
and Images, Enterprise Patch Management, hardware platforms that include
PCs and Thin Clients, Mobile Devices and many other related functions.
This position requires strong organization and communication skills, as
well as fundamental knowledge of networking and server support, as a
requirement of this role will be to triage problems across functional
groups and coordinate communication with customers and IS&S management. 

Essential Job Functions:
. Provide 4th Level support to key IS contacts in the field.
. Remotely triage and troubleshoot infrastructure support problems at
Kroger Division locations
. Provide 3rd Level PC support (Help Desk) for the Corporate General
Office Campus
. Perform Root Cause Analysis
. Coordinate cross-functional support tasks across infrastructure groups
. Create and maintain internal/external technical and process
documentation
. Follow change management procedures
. Provide support and project reports
. Support other key initiatives as the business dictates
. Must work closely with division users and corporate departments

Requirements:
The ideal candidates should possess:
. Strong oral and written communication skills
. Strong organizational skills
. Experience with PC operating systems, tools and applications
. Able to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing technical
landscape
. Customer service excellence
. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience
. Able to work independently
. Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently
. Experience with Project Management related practices and methodologies
. Experience providing remote customer support

Bonus Skills:

. Working knowledge of Networking and Server infrastructure fundamentals
. Active Directory, Altiris, Windows, McAfee, SUS tools, Lotus Notes,
Novell and Citrix experience strongly preferred
