The Hopeful Outreach Team is putting together a monthly workshop called
"Career Connections."  The first workshop will be held January 27th from
7PM
to 9PM.  The first guest speaker will be Julie Stephens from JAS HR
Solutions.  Julie will be giving a presentation on resumes. Following
the
presentation, there will other professionals available to assist with
reviewing and editing resumes on a one on one basis as needed.  This is
open
to the public and if you plan on attending please bring your resume for
review and helpful tips.

The purpose of Career Connections is to help those who are seeking new
opportunities, advancement, worried about their current position or have
recently found themselves laid off or unemployed.  Due to current
economic
conditions, times are uncertain and today many find themselves seeking
new
opportunities.  Our goal is to help people who find themselves in need
of
improving their resumes, interviewing skills, networking, and financial
planning; for an unforeseen event such as being laid off, etc..

The second workshop will be held on February 24, 2009 at Hopeful
Lutheran
starting at 7PM.  February's speaker will be Lisa Pauley with CBS
Personnel
and the topic will be improving your interviewing skills.
